Coupland 3

Coupland 3 is a Grade II-listed building located on the rear quadrangle of the historical cluster of University buildings. It was the original home of Manchester Medical School, but was vacant for some time.

The development has been largely designed to be open plan with plenty of natural daylight. The work presents an opportunity to restore the fantastic large, vaulted spaces that have been lost over the years through alterations and additions.

Once refurbished, the building will be the new home of the School of Law, the School of Dentistry, Faculty of Humanities administration, the Directorate for the Student Experience and the postgraduate hub.

Facilities will include postgraduate quiet spaces, a new home for the Legal Advice Centre, a moot room, a space for dentistry postgraduates, a cafe and a multi-function space for undergraduate ad postgraduate taught students and open-plan offices for the School of dentistry, the Directorate for the Student Experience, and Faculty of Humanities administration.
